Layer by Layer With Kinda Eclectic

Everyone likes these kinds of posts, so today I'm going to show you Layer by Layer With Kinda Eclectic stamp set and use a couple of sets of Framelits together. Here is the card we'll be making:

I'm using Note Cards and Envelopes for these cards. There are 20 cards and envelopes in each package so I can make card sets quickly and easily. Usually, I make 4 different sets of 5 each this way.

The cards are already cut and scored for easy folding. We're going to assemble the cards flat and not fold them until we are ready to put them in the box I've made for them.

First thing we'll do is stamp these two images and you can see that I have stamped the dots almost at the halfway mark. I have also pierced the card at the scored line because we're going to thread Baker's Twine around the front panel.

The two different dies were run through the Big Shot at the same time to get this frame. I love mixing dies together to get a frame of different shapes! The added dimension and texture to a card project really pops the project without a lot of added time.

Stamp your sentiment and cut your banners ahead of this stage. Add two Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment banner, too. That way, after you have threaded your Baker's Twine and tied the first part of a granny knot, you'll have them ready to apply on top of the twine holding the knot in place.

Your banners can be a bit longer if you like. This is when you'll apply your butterfly with a Glue Dot and tie the rest of the bow assembly over the body of the butterfly.

The banner is popped up Dimensionals, so you'll have a nice little pocket to apply three little pearls there on the rim of the frame. They are a nice little finishing for these sweet cards. If you like giving sets of three cards at a time, one package of Note Cards and Envelopes would give you enough for 6 gifts with a couple of cards left over for yourself!

This is a nice summer color combination, but you can sure bronze it up for Autumn and change the sentiments to something for Thanksgiving-ish.  What do you think? Are you ready to try Layer by Layer with Kinda Eclectic?

  1. I love all the different elements going on in your card! Plus I love how you have different sentiments for each card! I BTW the pearls are a nice touch! Awesome! 🙂
