There is no easier way to get started with card making than these Stampin' Up! Note Cards & Envelopes.
You have seen me use these in a rather Clean and Simple (CAS) format with only a Card Corsage. Nothing says you have to leave them without added layers, though!
I have cut the colored cardstock 3-1/4" x 4-3/4", just a quarter inch smaller than the size of the Note Card itself. Then, to really show off the color and the embossing, the uppermost layer of Whisper White is 2-3/4" x 4-1/4", which means you'll get 8 of these per sheet of cardstock.
Let's talk about the Variety of Whisper White cardstock at Stampin' Up! The regular Whisper White is a nice hot pressed, sleek cardstock about 80#. It's what we used in my classes for years. The Note Cards & Envelopes Whisper White is the same feel in your hand, but heavier, and more pure white. Now the "thick cardstock" Whisper White is nice and heavy, perfect for card bases and feels close to hot pressed and I think it's 100#. It's a more pure white as well.
All three of these will go through your printer to print one side at a time, but it's a challenge! Even for my invitations and address change cards, I have opted to print on regular printer paper and adhere to the inside of the cards with washi tape. Or use a beautiful stamp like this one from Hero Arts:
It's called Hero Arts Rubber Stamp A BIT OF KINDNESS G6120 and you can find it at Simon Says Stamp.
