Today is my birthday! I made this card last year for someone else's birthday and wanted to talk about how fun it is to make cards for someone else for ANY OCCASION.
The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, as is the Sketched Heart die. I used the Fine Tip Glue to cover the die cut with gold glitter. This card was inspired by Debby Hughes' water color work. She is amazing!
Just look at this shimmer!
I heat embossed white on black cardstock and then spritzed the whole card face with a shimmer spritz.
Making cards like this one is an act of love. There are so many other ways I could have sent birthday cards buying them at a store, but I believe that making a card makes it a keepsake of love. Not just because you made it, but almost all of my cards are left blank inside to hold your words, in your own handwriting. This makes it a part of my Keepsakes of Kindness.
Remember when you are using a water colored piece on your cards that you need to let it dry completely, and use really strong adhesive to attach it to a card base. You don't want your Keepsakes to fall apart after a year inside someone's scrapbook. And trust me in this, your cards are kept forever!
