Welcome to June!

Lots going on this month, but let’s just start with a card project and talk about the sale running on Designer Series Paper. Keep autumn colors in mind to make the most of the current sale.

My favorite kind of card to make is a Note Card, and in my world, I need quite a few every month. While I talk about making them, in your world, I’d like you to be able to translate that into an A2 card. I also want you to think in terms of always making four at a time.

This card was an easy translation to the A2 size because the stamping on both cards is the same formula: stamps, ink, and paper. The measurement of the stamped panel is from the set of Deckled Rectangle dies … 5th one from the center, and fits 8 to a sheet of card stock.

Designer Series Papers at Stampin’ Up! come in two sizes. The full sheets are 12×12 and the smaller ones come 6×6 and easily twice as many sheets, with double the designs. A 12×12 package has a total of 12 designs, front and back. The 6×6 pads are 48 pages and 24 designs.

My favorite size of DSP starts at 6″ because I want it to line up on the card face completely and leave a 1/2″ hanging over for snipping off. Full coverage top to bottom. You can do this with any of the Designer Series Papers.

Which brings me to the fact that 13 different Designer Series Papers are on sale all month! You can see the flyer here: DOWNLOAD FLYER

I know it’s early to think about Christmas and new Christmas papers won’t be available until September, but think about all your autumn holidays as well as making Masculine cards. Look again at this card layout.

  • Mango Panel is cut 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Designer Series Paper is cut 2″ x 6″

You’ll get 12 cards from a full sheet of Designer Series Paper. Choose a color scheme that fits your guys as well as autumn birthdays and Thanksgiving. Save time, save money, and shop for everything from starry skies to gone fishing! And buy two of everything!
