Celebrate Sunflowers And Donate Cards
I have been waiting to introduce you to a place to donate your handmade cards. Apparently I waited too long because I forgot about writing this post! Ugh! Well, the nice thing about memory problems is that the memories are in there somewhere and when they come out, if you write them down, you have the chance to play catch up. I am starting to keep a Steno Pad with a running To-Do list. Another thing I am using my Steno Pad for is a running list of who I owe cards to. That’s a recent addition to the Steno Pad, so if I am behind in getting mail off to you, please forgive me and maybe say a prayer for me.

I made these cards in a jiffy and you can too! When you have time, die cut these white panels using the Deckled Rectangles dies by the handfuls. Patty Bennett has hired someone to help her in her Stampin’ Up! business, and one of the things she has them do is die cut panels that she uses for card fronts, interiors, and even a bunch of the sentiment-sized pieces. I cut my own, but I still will cut out lots of them at one sitting so that I can do what I just did last month: Made 20 of these at once!

While this stamp set was available to buy, everyone was making cards using the huge sunflower image, almost exclusively. I think the only reason I didn’t reach for it today was because I already had these little panels die cut. I purposely cut the panel small to show off the dry embossing of the green panels, and I am so glad I did!
I used a sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps again, and this set is called Sunkissed Summer. Don’t you love it? There are all kinds of sentiments appropriate for summer, including “summer birthdays”. Half of the cards got a mix of sentiments that I needed for my personal stash of cards, and then 10 of them got this sentiment to donate to Creative Kindness..com. Making cards in bulk has been art therapy for me and maybe it will be for you too? Let me know if you plan on making cards in bulk!
