Popping Up On Dimensionals
In my book, 4 Cards in 30 Minutes, the photos show all the measurements in card base plus stamped panel. There was a purpose for that and what I wanted to teach you was recognition of the measurements to instantly know you could create four of those cards in 30 minutes AND save your cardstock! It’s important that we leave as few scraps as possible.

I made EIGHT of these cards this morning, and a handful of a Note Card version. The hardest part was deciding on my colors. When you are short on time, stamping cards with just Stamps, Ink, & Paper have the advantage of saving time AND money, because ….. and I want you to remember this ….. what counts is the time you take to write five to seven sentences of love inside. The outside of the card is fun, but what you include inside is much more worthy of being hugged to the chest and saved forever.
I have all the colors of inks like lots of you, and I definitely lean toward floral creations for the Everyday kind of card. My favorite colors out in the garden are:
- Pinks
- Oranges
- Reds
- Greens
- Yellows
This card has all the layers popped up on Dimensionals. Dimensionals are the foam dots that lots of companies sell, but the Stampin’ Up! brand is really thin, 6-sided, and super easy to use. I won’t use any other brand because it’s getting expensive to mail cards that are thick. The post office considers thickness more often than weight, and if you are judged a “package”, good luck mailing for under a dollar!
- Stamps used: Flowing Flowers, Nature’s Prints
- Ink pads: Mossy Meadow for the sentiments, Watermelon Wonder, Mango Melody, Pretty in Pink, Granny Apple Green
- Paper: Papertrey Ink white, Taylored Expressions Guava
- Embellishments: As you can see, I didn’t use anything here because of the thickness issue, but I am adding gold splatter to the Note Card version (seen down in the bottom left corner)
Once I get my Designer Series Papers sorted and cut for bulk assembly, I am making my August cards using this layout, HERE.
Using the layout at THE LINK, I’m also planning my Christmas cards using a Mason Jar as a Cloche. What do think? Are you eager to see that plan? So am I! I’m having a hard time deciding whether I want to put Gingerbread houses or Snowmen inside the jars.
Tell me what you would use!
