Special Reason in Bermuda Bay

When the Sale-a-bration free items included a variety pack of Glimmer Papers, I knew I wanted to create with the bundle, Special Reason in Bermuda Bay.

I used my 2-1/2" Circle Punch (now retired) to munch out four circles of Glimmer Paper to place behind this Whisper White panel die cut with this die from the bundle.  I attached it to the back of the panel with Tear and Tape adhesive, and it helped to attach to the embossed piece later.

The Card Corsage is made with Bermuda Bay sequins, Mint Macaron 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon, and a Mint Macaron leaf out of one of the other Glimmer Papers in the pack. The leaf is another die from the bundle! I layered them and attached with the Hand Held Stapler stapler (no longer available), only on the white panel, not through any other layers.

I used more Tear and Tape adhesive to attach the white panel to the Bermuda Bay panel I had embossed with Soft Petals embossing folder. When I was happy with the way it turned out, I attached the assembly to a card base also out of Bermuda Bay.

This card didn't start out in my head this way. In fact, I wasn't happy with the first draft at all and took it to my Facebook fans to help me come up with this final draft! Follow me on Facebook to see more FIRST PEEKS when I'm designing in the studio!

  1. I love Bermuda Bay! It makes me think "tropical" for some reason. Perhaps I'm longing to be on a sandy beach somewhere. LOL! Love your card! It's very pretty!
