Subtle Messages Are Often Unsaid, But Felt

Subtle messages are often unsaid, but felt through intuition, watching body language, and catching signals. The more quiet I am the more I am experiencing what Zig Ziglar has been quoted as saying that 84% of who we interact with are hurting. Is it because we are getting closer to November elections? The tension and behaviors are just sad.

These cards are a copy of cards I made last year using all bright colors. Any of you who know me well know that I prefer working with pastels ….. until now. NOW I am falling love with brights! Pinks, oranges, yellows, greens …… I just love that section of the rainbow and am even using the kind of neon shades like Lemon Lolly. STAMPS are from Splendid Thoughts, Forever Fern (for the splatter), Beautifully Happy (for the bee), Nature’s Prints (for the sentiment). The back of the card says Kitchen Table Ministry and it was a stamp made for me by Joscie Cutchens at joscie.com.

Today’s stack of cards were all made to send some Happy Mail out to people I have talked within the last few months. Just a little brightly colored Note Card on the outside, but 5-7 sentences inside and a few have a recipe card in there for my Oatmeal Cherry Nut Cookies!

WHICH REMINDS ME, I went to Costco last week and they FINALLY had cherry pies in the bakery. Have you ever experienced one of their pies? They are HUGE and their pie crust is amazing. I scoop out a half cup serving and stuff it into my take-out containers to freeze as individual cobbler servings. TRUST me, you get 16 scoops from one pie and you can microwave right from the freezer on high for 45 seconds to defrost them to “warm” in the microwave. You’re welcome!

Pin this image!!! You can click on it to find those little containers at webstaurantstore.com.

IN OTHER NEWS: I have been experiencing a traditional “Christmas in July” rush, and I can’t wait to get started making this year’s cards.

Are you thinking about Christmas yet? It’s time!
