DIY Stationery in Favorite Colors
I might have broken the creativity block just by making my own DIY Stationery in Favorite Colors! Let’s talk about the elements that make that happen.

Die cutting these white panels was another one of those ways of getting the block broken. The set of Deckled Rectangle dies has multiple sizes, and this is one of my favorites. I cut up four full sheets of card stock for 16 panels.
Embossing panels of Crumb Cake with one of the 3D folders I bought that struck me as “garden” oriented, Exposed Brick, was another tiny step of creativity. I love panels that are reminiscent of something I would find in the garden, or on the garden shed.
Eight sheets of Mango Melody, scored down the length of the paper, then cut in half, gave me 16 card bases lickety split. Take out four more sheets of white card stock to make inside panels unless you write right onto the colored card base.
Now for the stamping ….. let’s go back to Awesomely Artistic and ink up in Mango Melody to match the card base. Mango deserves a bright green and if you have any Parakeet Parade left, you will love the combination! The sentiment matches the embossed panel in Crumb Cake. The splotches, though, are from the newest ink additions at Stampin’ Up! ….. Basic Beige. It works! Linen thread bows and Champagne rhinestones were my embellishments of choice.

Getting the sentiment on the panel was made easy for me because all those years ago I created a vellum jig with the sentiment on it. Because this is a wood mounted stamp set, that jig stays in the case and it’s lots quicker than hauling out the MISTI and lining things up even if I had a flat mount version of Awesomely Artistic.
Do you still have your Stamp-a-ma-jig? Do you use it?
