Flowing Flowers With Freshly Made Sketches

I rarely participate in sketches because I am not in the right place at the right time. In fact, I wasn’t able to photograph this card in time to participate AGAIN, but I enjoyed making it with my Coffee + a Card group last week.

I used the opportunity to start using up the Designer Series Papers that we all have lots of! Once I created this card, I knew I would make lots more with different sentiments. I mixed the sketch with a CASE from Charlotte Mallett’s cards last week.

You can tell by the light that I was really late in the day! Too late to enter the challenge, but never too late to send another handful to Bring Smiles to Seniors. When you’re making cards for BSTS, don’t forget to send envelopes, too!

As you can see, I haven’t put Flowing Flowers away. I tried making some Note Cards over the weekend using Beautiful Friendship, a long-time favorite, but it just didn’t compare to how much I love this stamp set. PLEASE don’t let it get away when things retire from the Spring mini catalog next week. I don’t know whether it will carry forward into the new Annual Catalog, but I hope so!

The free Designer Series Papers that I received during Sale-a-bration called Hello Friend uses Petal Pink ink, but it also has blue and green shades on other sheets, so I’m pulling out the blue ones later to mix with Sailing Home stamp set. It’s another distINKtive stamp set, comes with a set of coordinating dies, but I want to create a few masculine cards using the Lighthouse image in a Clean & Simple card like this one.

If you’re using the measurements I have here, let me know in the comments. It’s a great way to actually use those pretty papers that we just can’t seem to cut up! And if you’re sending cards to Bring Smiles to Seniors, let me know, too.

  1. Good morning, Celia,
I would like to send you a thank-you card for the batch of beautiful cards you sent to me. I have two addresses for you and I’m not sure which is where you live now! Of course, I have already thrown away the mailer you sent to me……I am sorry it’s taken so long for me to get a note to you.
I love the cards and am trying to make them look like yours. I’m glad to hear you are feeling better – I know it’s been a long ordeal for you.
I would love to have a catalog, if you don’t mind. Thank you so much!
    Have a blessed day.

    1. Just saw your comment on the blog — thank you so much! I’m thrilled to hear you like those cards … I can’t stop making them, so I’ve begun making packets of 3 to sell at this year’s Craft Fair.
Our current and forever mailing address is and we are never moving again. You can write it in your address book in ink! ha!
You are officially on the catalog list! I will have it mailed directly from Stampin’ Up! next month and should arrive before it goes live May 3rd. I’ll check back to make sure it arrived.
