Stationery Trends for 2024
As we open into the New Year, let’s give our imagination room to explore Stationery Trends for 2024. Where has this year gone? I can’t believe that we are having the Christmas lights installed this week!
Listen to what Wild Apple had to say about stationery trends in 2024: “In the digital age, where screens dominate our daily lives, stationery continues to captivate individuals with its tactile charm and ability to unleash creativity.” When we create cards, we are creating stationery. If a box of 12, it’s easy to see that as a #diystationery project, but each of your cards are your stationery.
Continuing into the New Year, sparkle and shine is king. Metallic paints, Wink of Stella, gold and silver gel pens, and gold flakes. I always love a good splatter, so I have rigged up a cardboard spray “tent” where I can either use a toothbrush splatter or spritzer. We recently replaced 5 ceiling fans and kept one of the boxes, cutting the flaps off the top. Lay it on its side and work at a height comfortable for your posture. The interior is very absorbent.
Your style is easily translated by the rubber art you choose, and the wide array of ink colors. The top 3 Trends for 2024 include:
- Mixed Media Collage – oh boy do I love to collage stamp
- Watercolor Wonder – love this so much
- Illustrative Line Art – mixed in with collage, yes, please
When it comes to Wedding Stationery, the trend is toward watercolor vs. photography on the entire line, from Invitation to Menu cards. Florals, of course, but I’m also seeing simple greenery as well as watercolor renditions of architecture.
All in all I’m seeing realism, and much softer images. Especially in the UK, I’m seeing illustrations very close to some of the Artist accounts I follow on Instagram. A few of them became very famous and recognizable when the Queen passed.
I’m taking this year to heavily promote distINKtive rubber carving, which is my all-time favorite. The very best carving is done with red rubber, so I doubt I will be investing in any photopolymer. With Watercolor Wonder, mixing the distINKtive style in vibrant colors will cross over from cards to journals, diaries, and fine stationery pads.
Let’s all buy a box of our favorite Crane-quality stationery and stamp a personal little Collage at top center! And stamp those envelopes, eh?
