Hand Penned Petals Card Sketch

I can tell from this card sketch that I won’t be putting Hand Penned Petals away any time soon. This card was made quick and easy because of three things:

  • Two-step stamping
  • Generational stamping as well as stamping off
  • Punched the sentiment out

Because I saved so much time with the stamping, I splurged and die-cut the white panel out with the die that comes with Positive Thoughts. I also made a bow with the Mossy Meadow linen thread which I bought LOTS of, and the sparkle isn’t showing up here but there’s a Genial Gem on that bow as well. I used the sentiment out of Happy Thoughts and punched it out using the Tailored Tag punch. I also embossing a panel of Pale Papaya using the Painted Texture 3D embossing Folder.

Everyone I teach has been buying this stamp set all year, and now I see that it’s RETIRING?!? That can’t be! Four of the seven sentiments fit in the Tailored Tag punch, and you’ve seen how often I use it that way. This was one. And I recently made another Hand-Penned card shown below. You…

I’ve spent the full morning with business between Sizzix and Stampin’ Up! trying to solve the issue of our thick and 3D and Textured Impressions embossing folder, and there ARE SO MANY good folders out there. So, the short answer is found in your original tabbed platform! Sizzix sent me a video from 2018 when…

  • Cookie Cutter Autumn

I love this little scarecrow in the Halloween stamp set, and made a Cookie Cutter Autumn set of cards and banners for my local stampers to have some fun with.   The strip of Designer paper on the card to the left is only 3/4" wide, so we were able to get a LOT of…

Throwback Thursday post: Journaling scriptures as assigned by @swtblessshan each month changed the way I do business, prioritize my day, guide my family, and give.  I can't help but wonder if God knew what was in store this year when He changed everything last year. Now that we're selling the house, building a new one,…

  • Using A Background Stamp

I like using a Background Stamp instead of another layer of paper.  In my last post here I also showed you how fun it is to cover the envelope flap with some “hint” of what’s inside your envelope! Wasn’t that flap perfect covered in Postscripts? This background stamp, Postscripts, is just large enough for an…

  1. Howdy, Celia,
This is beautiful. More inspiration for me to try something new!

Question: Can I use the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss embossing folder in the Big Shot? I have tried every possible combination of plates, etc. and cannot seem to get it to work. Is there a trick or is this type of folder just for the new machine?

    Thank you!
