Simple and Beautiful Handmade Cards
Making Simple and Beautiful Handmade Cards needs to be seen through the eye of the receiver. First, it’s a beautiful card. Then, it’s a beautiful note inside that I’ve been calling Keepsakes of Kindness. We’ve all gone through losses and received the cards and letters and text and emails, but which ones do you keep? Which ones comfort you?
I hear from people who want more elaborate cards with more layers and papers, and yes, I do make those. But when it comes to cards that you want to speak
- Beauty
- Happiness
- Comfort
- Love
wouldn’t you want this in your cubby to send in a jiffy?
I started this card out with my favorite thing: a panel to put all my goodies onto. Only this time, I just focused on ink, paper and stamp set. These make beautiful note cards, but it needed just a little something: Linen Thread! This is Old Olive Linen thread, this time.
The cards are made with Whisper White thick card stock to give just the right “heft” to the project. I used First Frost stamp set that also comes with a beautiful die set to make cards textural. The inks I used on the card were Soft Sea Foam and Sahara Sand.
This handblown glass ornament came from …… the Post Office! When it comes to mailing cards, and I send a lot, I just had to have this ornament.
Leave me a comment and tell me what stamp set you would like to see created with just these simple things. This week I’m starting to make a lot more Simple and Beautiful Handmade Cards from just three products.
