Sundown In The Studio

Organize Your Crafting

21 Sep

I love working close to Sundown in the Studio, with the light dappling through the oak tree and windows.  It’s the perfect “alarm” for me to turn the radio off and start cleaning up.

I showed you a new organizational element I added to the studio in my latest newsletter, and you can see it there in the curve of my “J” shaped work area.

While I was waiting for the blog cleanup process, I took time to sort through the last of the boxes from last year’s move, and inventoried all the bags and boxes I’d purchased over the past four years. In one case I thought I was ordering 12 little windowed boxes just judging by the price. In fact, I ended up with 60 of them. When things overwhelm me like that I put things aside, so the inventoried list was only the beginning. There was MORE.

I had embellishments and elements in those boxes, too. No problem, I thought, I’ll just order a couple of the divided trays from Stamp-n-Storage that fit in the drawers. In fact, I ordered the newest deep dividers and swapped out four little drawers for two tall drawers.

I love it! You will too.  You really gotta get these trays, and at $4 each, you can use them wherever you want to, but this drawer unit is pretty cool!
